When I connect a device to the monitor through a USB-C port and enable FreeSync, the resolution of certain games will be switched from 3440 x 1440 to 1920 x 1080 |
Problem
The user connects a device to the monitor through a USB-C port, launches a game, sets the resolution to the default value 3440 x 1440, and then enables or disables FreeSync on the monitor. The resolution of certain games then switches to 1920 x 1080 or lower.
Cause
After FreeSync is enabled or disabled, the host determines that the monitor has been disconnected for a long time based on the USB-C port and switches the display mode. After certain games detect that the display mode has changed, the resolution will decrease to a value such as 1920x1080.
Solution
Most games are automatically set to the optimal resolution. For certain games in which the resolution changes after FreeSync is enabled or disabled on the monitor, you will need to reconfigure the resolution in the game's settings.
