Unable to perform wireless projection using the monitor

Problem 1

A non-Huawei phone fails to perform OneHop Projection.

Solution 1

OneHop Projection is a unique feature of Huawei products. It is not available on non-Huawei phones. You are advised to use a Huawei phone to perform OneHop Projection.

To use OneHop Projection on a Huawei phone, perform the following steps:

  1. Enable NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth on the phone.
  2. Tap the NFC sensor area on the phone against the monitor's sensor area in the middle of the base until the phone rings or vibrates.

Problem 2

The user wants to use Miracast to project a computer's screen to the monitor, but the monitor cannot be detected by the computer or wireless projection fails after the monitor is detected by the computer.

Cause

1. There may be a compatibility issue between the monitor and certain devices, which causes the monitor not to respond to the projection request from the computer.

2. The Wi-Fi signal is poor, causing the projection to fail.

Solution 2

For details, see "Project from PC" under Screen projection.

1. Ensure that the computer supports the Miracast protocol. For details, search for the corresponding FAQ on WeKnow.

2. Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled on the computer.

3. Ensure that the computer is not connected to any other devices (except a Bluetooth mouse) such as a phone and that the monitor is not connected to any other Bluetooth devices.

4. If a 5 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot is available, you are advised to connect the computer and monitor to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot before projecting the screen.

5. You are advised to update your computer to a version released during the past year, such as 19042.928, to improve the projection experience.

Problem 3

The user uses the monitor to go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tries opening the AI Life app on their phone for screen projection, but the projection fails.

Cause 3

Wireless projection is not supported when you use the monitor to go to Settings > Wi-Fi and try opening the AI Life app on your phone for screen projection.

Solution 3

You are advised to tap the Smart Bar in the centre of the bottom of the monitor's screen to stop opening the AI Life app on your phone and perform screen projection again. You will then be able to perform wireless projection.
