Unable to receive new emails in the pre-installed Huawei Email app on my HUAWEI phone

If you can't receive new emails after logging in to your email account in the Huawei Email app, perform the following to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Log in to your email account again

Log out of your email account and log in to it again.

2. Check whether has been enabled

A version later than EMUI 11.0: Open Email, go to > , log in to your account, and enable .

EMUI 11.0 or an earlier version: Open Email, go to , log in to your account, and enable .

3. Check whether you can receive emails over Wi-Fi rather than over mobile data

Go to Optimiser > Data usage > Network access, locate Email, and select Mobile data and Wi-Fi.

4. Check the sync frequency

If you are using a non-Exchange email account, it is recommended that you swipe down from the status bar in Email to refresh the inbox, as non-Exchange emails are unable to have set to Automatic.

5. Log in to the same email account on both your phone and computer

Log in to the web-based letterbox on your computer, and check whether there are new emails on the server. If there are no emails on the server, but there are new emails on your computer letterbox client, then it is likely that the computer letterbox client deletes the email copy from the server after downloading the emails. As a result, your phone can't receive new emails.
