The screen flickers when the MateView GT is connected to a host using a self-purchased HDMI cable and its refresh rate is adjusted to 100 Hz

Problem

The screen flickers when the MateView GT is connected to a host using a self-purchased HDMI cable and its refresh rate is adjusted to 100 Hz.

Cause

The HDMI cable is not an HDMI 2.0 cable. When the highest display effect is set, the screen flickers because the transmission rate of the HDMI 1.X cable cannot meet the display requirements.

Solution

1. If the host comes with a DP/USB-C port that supports video output, you are advised to use the standard DP/USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the monitor to the host to obtain the optimal viewing experience.

2. If the host only has an HDMI port, you are advised to use an HDMI 2.0 cable purchased from an official channel. If only the HDMI1.X cable is available, reduce the refresh rate.

Note: If the issue persists, call the Huawei customer service hotline.
