Using the HUAWEI MateStation X as a monitor

The HUAWEI MateStation X works as an all-in-one computer by default.

To use it as a monitor, perform the following:

  1. Right-click on the computer's desktop and choose Use as monitor from the shortcut menu. In the displayed dialog box, turn on the switch for this feature.

  2. Use a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 and DisplayPort 1.2 or later to connect the computer to an external device that supports display, data transmission, and charging.

    • When the computer is being used as a monitor with an external input source connected to it, you can press F1 or F2 on the keyboard (paired with the computer) that comes with the computer to adjust the screen brightness, and press F4, F5, or F6 to adjust the volume. However, you cannot use the touchpad, camera, microphone, and headset jack, or adjust the colour.
    • When this feature is enabled, you can perform the above operations to connect it to a laptop, phone, or tablet and use the keyboard and mouse that come with the computer to operate the laptop, phone, or tablet. (This feature is unavailable with third-party keyboards and mice.)
    • This feature will be unavailable if PC Manager is closed or uninstalled.
    • When the computer is used as a monitor, you can power it on or off by pressing the Power button.
  3. To disable this feature, remove the USB-C to USB-C cable.
