Changing the account name on the computer

This operation can only change your account name that is displayed on your computer and cannot change the folder name of a local account in Users on the C drive.

Changing the name of a local account

  1. Enter "control panel" in the search box on the taskbar and open Control Panel.

  2. Click Change account type, select the account whose name you want to change, and click Change the account name.

  3. Enter a new name and click Change Name.

Changing the name of your Microsoft account

Visit the official Microsoft website (https://account.microsoft.com/account/), sign in to your Microsoft account, and go to Your info > Edit name.

You can click Add a photo to add your Microsoft profile picture.
