Setting the computer to Sleep or Hibernate mode

  1. Click the search icon on the taskbar, enter "control panel" in the search box, and open Control Panel.

  2. Go to System and Security > Power Options > Change what the power buttons do.

  3. Set When I close the lid to Sleep or Hibernate and click Save changes.
