Kindly check if you can recall your password. Your watch/band will be locked for 10 minutes if you enter incorrect PINs five times in a row, or for one hour after eight consecutive failed attempts. After 14 tries, your device will be locked for 24 hours at each incorrect PIN.
If you find it impossible to remember your PIN, it is recommended that you restore your watch/band to its factory settings and set a new PIN for the sake of your privacy and security.
- Once your wearable device is restored to its factory settings, all your personal data will be cleared, transport card migration will be triggered (if the transport cards support migration), and access cards and bank cards will be removed. Please exercise caution when performing this operation.
- HUAWEI WATCH 3/WATCH 4 Series: You can choose to retain the eSIM information before restoring the watch to its factory settings, and continue using such information after you've completed pairing. If the eSIM information is not retained, you will need to contact your carrier to deregister and reactivate eSIM service.
Here's how to restore your watch/band to its factory settings when you've forgotten your PIN:
- Open Huawei Health, touch Devices, and check whether your watch/band is connected to the app. If yes, touch the device card to access the device details screen, and select Reset.
- If your watch/band is not linked to Huawei Health:
- HUAWEI WATCH 3/WATCH 4 Series: When you enter incorrect PINs five times in a row, a message will display indicating that you need to wait at least 10 minutes before trying again. Then 10 minutes later, if you enter incorrect PINs three consecutive times, the message Forgot password will display. Touch Forgot password, press the Down button more than three times in a row, and touch Reset to restore your device to its factory settings.
- Other devices: When you enter incorrect PINs five times in a row, the Reset option will display on your device screen. Touch Reset to restore your device to its factory settings.
