My stylus is unable to perform gesture navigation operations

Problem

When using the stylus to swipe towards the middle of the screen, the user finds that the screen remains the same instead of going back, or returning to the home screen. They are unable to use the stylus to navigate using gesture navigation operations.

Cause

The mistouch prevention feature of the stylus is enabled, to avoid misoperations when you are writing with a stylus. As a result, gesture navigation doesn't work using the stylus.

Solution

1. You can swipe on the screen with your fingers to implement navigation gestures.
2. The mistouch prevention of the stylus delivers a better experience when you are writing near the edge of the screen. To disable mistouch prevention for navigation gestures, go to Settings > Accessibility features > Stylus and disable Don't trigger gestures for navigation gestures.
