Linking a HUAWEI kids watch with a common admin

Linking with a watch and becoming a common admin gives you access to the watch's location and rights to manage watch apps and make calls.

 
  • Before doing so, download the latest version of HUAWEI FamCare on your phone. If you already have the app, update it to its latest version.
  • Parent/Legal guardian: Open HUAWEI FamCare and log in to your HUAWEI ID. If you're using a HUAWEI phone logged in to your HUAWEI ID, you'll be automatically logged in to HUAWEI FamCare with the same account.
  • Each admin must register and use a unique HUAWEI ID to access and manage the watch. A single HUAWEI ID cannot be logged in to HUAWEI FamCare on multiple devices simultaneously.

Method 1: Via invitation by the main admin

  1. Main admin: Open HUAWEI FamCare, and go to Admins > New admin.
  2. Select the relationship between the new admin and the child, enter the new admin's phone number, and tap in the upper right corner to send an invitation SMS.
  3. The invited admin logs in to HUAWEI FamCare on their phone and navigates to the Link watch screen.
  4. Tap I received an invitation, then enter the verification code from the SMS to complete verification. Passing the verification indicates a successful linking.
  5. Once successfully linked, the invited member becomes a common admin of the watch, with their phone number automatically saved to the watch's Contacts list.

Method 2: Via code scanning

  1. From the watch home screen, press the HOME button to access the app list, tap QR code or go to Settings > QR code, and the QR code will display on the screen.
  2. Target new admin: Log in to HUAWEI FamCare with your HUAWEI ID, and tap Scan code. Then, scan the QR code displayed on the watch screen to pair it.

    Target new admin: If your account has been linked with another watch, you can enter the code scanning screen by accessing the home screen of HUAWEI FamCare and tapping in the upper right corner.

  3. Target new admin: Follow the onscreen instructions to send a link request, and you'll be redirected to the HUAWEI FamCare app home screen.
  4. Main admin: Open HUAWEI FamCare, and if you're prompted with a common admin link request, tap Agree. Alternatively, access the HUAWEI FamCare app home screen and go to Communication > Notifications > Agree. Then the common admin is successfully linked.
