[Huawei] The phone can't call the watch and a message is displayed indicating that the watch is making a call, powered off, or can't be connected, or the number doesn't exist

If the user uses the HUAWEI FamCare app on their phone to call the watch and a message is displayed indicating that the watch is making a call, powered off, or can't be connected, or the number doesn't exist, perform the following operations.

Add your number to the watch's contact list

By default, Block strangers is enabled on the kids watch. If a number is not in the kids watch's contact list, the watch can't call the number.

  • If you are using a phone with dual SIM cards, add both numbers to the watch's contact list. (Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner, go to Contacts > Add, enter the name and numbers, and save the changes.)

  • If you are using a quick number or group number, add it to the watch's contact list. (Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner, go to Contacts > Add, and add your quick number.)

After the Block strangers feature is enabled on the watch, if an incoming call is rejected, the HUAWEI FamCare app will receive a notification with the rejected number. Check whether the number of the incoming call has been added to the watch's contact list.

Check whether the watch's network signal is normal and its account balance is sufficient

  • Swipe down from the home screen to check the network signal of the SIM card. If the signal is weak or there is no signal, move to an area with a good signal, such as an outdoor area or a balcony, and then try again.

  • Contact your network provider's customer service to check whether the watch is out of credit. If so, top up the balance, restart the watch, and try again.

Activate the caller ID display service for the watch's SIM card

If the caller ID display service is not activated for the watch's SIM card and the watch can't receive any calls, contact your network provider's customer service to check whether the service is activated. If not, activate it.

Disable Class Time for the watch

The kids watch can't receive incoming calls when the Class Time feature is enabled. Check whether the feature has been enabled.

If so, disable Class Time for the watch and try again.

Disable call forwarding for the watch's number

After call forwarding is enabled for the watch's number, the watch can't receive any incoming calls. Insert the SIM card into a phone, disable call forwarding, and try again.

The SIM card of the watch is in poor contact

  • Remove and re-insert the SIM card, restart the watch, and check whether the SIM card is inserted properly.
  • Try another SIM card, restart the watch, and try again. If the issue persists, contact your network provider to replace the SIM card.
