Use Quickly Access Notepad

You'll need to pair your stylus with your device before using this feature.

With the stylus paired with your device, you'll be able to use the stylus to tap or write on the screen to quickly open Notes or Notepad when the screen is off.

You can use either of the following methods to enable this feature (depending on your device model):
  • Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Stylus > Quickly take notes, enable Quick note, and select Notes or Notepad.
  • Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Wake screen, and enable Double-tap to wake.

Use either of the following methods to disable this feature (depending on your device model):

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Stylus > Quickly take notes, and disable Quick note.
  • Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Wake screen, and disable Double-tap to wake.
