Adding friends on a HUAWEI kids watch

Shaking to add friends

Before using this feature, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled and watches are connected to the Internet.

From the watch home screen, press the HOME button to access the app list and tap Add friends, while having your friend stand within 2 metres of you and enter the same screen. Then shake both watches at the same time.

Adding friends via name cards

1. Swipe left twice on the watch home screen to enter the Chats or MeeTime screen, and tap More to access the MeeTime message list.
2. Hold down on a chat box, tap Send to friend, select a friend, and tap Send.
3. Upon receiving the recommendation, you can tap the corresponding message notification on your kids watch to enter the Chats screen, select the recommended card, and tap Add friend.
4. Once the recommended user receives the friend request, they can tap Agree to accept the request.

Adding friends from contacts

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, go to Contacts > New contact, and add a kids watch user's phone number as a contact.
2. Add a friend from your contacts on your watch.

   Swipe left twice on the watch home screen to access the Chats screen. In the chat list, tap Find friends and add the target contact as a friend.

3. Once the target contact receives the friend request, they can tap Agree to accept the request.
    

   • When adding a kids watch user's phone number as a contact, the number should be the same phone number used to log in to their HUAWEI ID.

Deleting a friend

In the HUAWEI FamCare app:

Admins: Go to Devices > Contacts, select the contact in question, and tap Delete contact.

On a kids watch:

Swipe on the watch home screen to access the Chats screen, touch and hold the friend in question, and select Delete friend.

 

• Only friends can be removed on a kids watch, while admins and contacts need to be deleted in HUAWEI FamCare.
• When a friend request is sent, the main admin will receive a notification from HUAWEI FamCare and can choose to accept or decline the request.

  If the main admin taps Allow or does not perform any operation, the friend is added. If the main admin declines the request by tapping Deny, the added friend is deleted.

Enabling/Disabling the add friend feature

Before you proceed, make sure your watch and HUAWEI FamCare are updated to the latest versions.

Enabling/Disabling all friend adding methods

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, and tap Devices, Chats & calls, and then Add Friend.
2. Toggle on or off Allow the watch to add friends as needed.
