How to prevent others from connecting my Wi-Fi
  • Try setting a complicated Wi-Fi password. Increase the complexity and therefore security of your password by incorporating both lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters in your password.
  • Try hiding your Wi-Fi name. If you hide your Wi-Fi name, it will not be displayed in the list of connectable networks on a phone, computer, or other Wi-Fi enabled devices. If someone wants to connect to a hidden Wi-Fi network on their device, they must manually enter the exact name of the Wi-Fi network. This helps to increase the security of your Wi-Fi network.
  • Try using the one-click blacklisting feature. You can view a list of all the devices that are currently connected to your wireless network from your router's Manage Device page. You can add a phone or computer to the Wi-Fi blacklist with a single click to prohibit it from connecting to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Try creating a Wi-Fi blacklist or whitelist. You can set your router's Wi-Fi network to Blacklist mode or Whitelist mode according to your needs. In Blacklist mode, devices in the blacklist will be unable to connect to your Wi-Fi network. In Whitelist mode, only devices listed in the whitelist can connect to your Wi-Fi network (for example, you can add all of the Wi-Fi enabled devices in your home to the whitelist so that only those devices can connect to your Wi-Fi network). Creating a Wi-Fi blacklist is a good way to enhance the security of your Wi-Fi network. Even if blacklisted users know the Wi-Fi name and password, they will be unable to connect to your Wi-Fi network with a blacklisted device.
