Why is there a number on the top right corner of the HUAWEI AppGallery icon?

The number on the top right corner of the HUAWEI AppGallery icon indicates that there are apps ready to be updated. If you do not want the number to be displayed or do not want to update the apps, perform the following:

Disable the app icon badge

Go to Settings > Notifications > App icon badges and turn off the switch next to AppGallery. After that, no numbers will be displayed on the top right corner of the HUAWEI AppGallery icon.

Disable update notifications for a specific app

Go to AppGallery > Me > Updates, touch the upside-down triangle arrow next to the app in question, and select Ignore.
