A 2-in-1 laptop can be powered on by pressing the Power button when it is not connected to a keyboard.

  • All-in-one device: After the computer is assembled, press the Power button until the screen turns on.
  • Desktop computer: Set up your computer and press the Power button on the tower until the Power button indicator turns on.

If your computer comes with a fingerprint-sensitive power button, you can press the Power button to power on and unlock your computer quickly and securely after your fingerprint has been enrolled.

Power-off

Manual power-off

  • When the computer is running properly, go to > on the taskbar, and select Shut down.

  • Forcible power-off: Press and hold the Power button for more than 10 seconds to forcibly power off the device. (Forcible power-off will cause loss of unsaved data. Exercise caution with this operation.)

Automatic power-off

Set up auto shutdown.

Stop the system shutdown during the timeout period.

  • The computer system does not support scheduled automatic power-on. The following describes how to set scheduled automatic power-off.
  • By default, this feature takes effect when a power adapter is connected. Connect to a power adapter in a timely manner.
  • Setting up auto shutdown
    1. Enter Computer Management in the search box on the taskbar and open it.

    2. Go to Task Scheduler > Create Basic Task....

    3. Create a name for the task, something like Turn off the computer at certain times after Name, and click Next >.

    4. Select Daily and click Next >.

    5. Set your desired shutdown time and click Next >.

If the scheduled start time has passed, the task will not be executed immediately by default.

    6. Select Start a program and click Next >.

    7. Click Browse....

    8. Enter shutdown.exe and click Open.

    9. Set Add arguments (optional): to -s -t 600. (Here "600" means that the computer will turn off in 600 seconds. Enter your desired number.) Click Next >. (Note: There is a space between "-s" and "-t", and between "-t" and "600".)

    10. Click Finish.

    11. If you want this feature to take effect when no power adapter is connected, select this event, double-click Properties on the right sidebar, click Conditions, and deselect Start the task only if the computer is on AC power and Stop if the computer switches to battery power.

  • Stopping system shutdown during the timeout period

Press +R to open the Run window, enter shutdown -a (there is a space between "shutdown" and "-a"), and click OK.
