By default, password-free login is enabled on the device's web-based management page. To set a login password, perform the following steps:

1. Connect the device to the PC.
2. Enter 192.168.8.1 in a browser address bar to log in to the web-based management page.
3. Go to Advanced > System > Modify Password, and then enable Require password. The log in page of the web-based management page will then be displayed.

   

4. Enter the default password, and then follow the onscreen instructions to create a password. After entering the new password, you will be able to successfully log in to the web-based management page.
