No sound can be heard from the speaker after I update the graphics card driver |
Problem
After the computer is connected to the network for a period of time, if the graphics card driver is updated, the system prompts the user to restart the computer. If the user does not restart the computer but continues to use the computer, no sound can be heard.
For example, when the user uses Groove to open local audio or record audio without restarting the computer, a message is displayed, indicating that the microphone should be connected.
After connecting the microphone, music still cannot be played, and a message is displayed, indicating that the audio device cannot be found.
Cause
The graphics card driver has a monitor audio, which shares the Intel bus with the codec. After the graphics card is updated, the system needs to be restarted for the update to take effect.
Solution
Restart your computer after updating the driver (including but not limited to the graphics card driver).
