AR Measure on my HUAWEI phone fails to automatically measure volume of an object

Problem:

The user uses AR Measure on their HUAWEI phone to measure the volume of an object, but the measurement fails because the object cannot be correctly identified in automatic mode.

Cause:

The object's size and color, any interference, and the distance from your phone can affect the object recognition.

Solution:

Pay attention to the following while measuring:

  • Make sure your phone is 1–1.5 m away from the object.
  • For best results, the object should have a height, width, and length between 0.5 m and 1 m. Make sure the object can be viewed fully in the viewfinder.
  • The object cannot be black, hollow, or reflective, as this type of object absorbs infrared light and may result in your phone being unable to recognize the object.
  • Make sure there is nothing nearby obstructing the measurement and the object is not placed against a wall.

Certain products that support AR Measure do not support automatic volume measurement.
