No sound from one of my HUAWEI earbuds

Perform the following steps:

  1. Check whether your earbuds are properly connected.
    • FreeArc/FreeBuds/FreeClip series earbuds: Take out the faulty earbud, wait until the indicator on the charging case turns off, and then place the earbud back inside to check whether the indicator turns on. If not, the charging contact point of the earbud is in poor contact. Clean the contact point, put the earbud into the charging case, and close the case. After 5 seconds, open the charging case, take the earbud out, and try again.

If the issue persists, refer to Connect a single HUAWEI earbud to a phone/tablet.

    • FreeLace series earbuds: Check whether the USB port on the control panel is securely connected.
  2. Make sure that the Balance bar on the connected device is in the middle.
    • HarmonyOS/Android devices: Go to Settings, navigate to Balance, and slide the Balance bar to the middle.
    • iOS devices: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual, find Balance, and slide the bar to the middle.

After the earbuds are restored to factory settings, the following may occur:

      (1) Existing pairing information of the earbuds is deleted.

      (2) All functions of the earbuds are restored to their default settings.

      (3) The location information of the earbuds in the Find Device app will not be updated anymore. You can remove the pairing information and pair the earbuds again.

      (4) For FreeBuds Pro 5, which supports smart recording, recordings saved in your earbuds will be deleted after you restore the earbuds to their factory settings. To prevent this, open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, go to Discover > Smart recording > Save all to device to save recording files.

  3. Put the earbuds into the charging case, restore the earbuds to factory settings, and then pair the earbuds with your device again.
  4. Update the earbuds' firmware and the phone/tablet system to their latest versions.

If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
