Mistouch prevention is not working
  1. Check whether you have enabled Mistouch prevention. Swipe down on the home screen to display the global search box, search for Mistouch prevention, and ensure that it is enabled.
  2. Mistouch prevention only takes effect when the phone screen is locked, helping prevent misoperations such as accidentally making or answering calls when the phone is put in a bag or pocket.
  3. If Mistouch prevention does not work when your phone screen is locked, back up your data, update the system to the latest version, then restart your phone and see whether the issue is resolved.
  4. If the issue persists, you may have deleted a system file by mistake. Back up your data, restore your phone to its factory settings, and try again.
  5. If the issue still persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.

The proximity sensor of your phone consists of an infrared emitting LED light and an infrared receiving detector and is generally located at the top of the screen below a round hole. It detects the distance between an object and the phone by calculating the energy difference between the sent and received infrared light.

Touch-disable mode works based on the proximity sensor. When your phone is put in a bag or pocket, the proximity sensor is blocked and determines that touches on the screen are misoperations. You can operate on the screen normally after taking your phone out of the bag or pocket, or disable Touch-disable mode.
