- Right-click the Internet icon on the taskbar and select Open Network & Internet settings.
- Click Network and Sharing Centre.
- Select your network name and click Properties.
If your computer is currently not connected to any networks, click Change adapter settings. Then, right-click WLAN and select Properties.
- Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Click Use the following IP address: and fill in the IP address and DNS address. Click OK.
- Do not enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway at random. Click Details in step 4 to view your dynamic IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway, and then set your dynamic IP address accordingly or contact your network administrator for assistance.
- If you need to reset your dynamic IP address, select Obtain an IP address automatically and click OK.
- Do not enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway at random. Click Details in step 4 to view your dynamic IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway, and then set your dynamic IP address accordingly or contact your network administrator for assistance.
