The data restoration progress in HiSuite gets stuck or exits unexpectedly |
Troubleshoot as follows:
- The storage space of your phone may be insufficient. Clear some space on your phone or transfer the data in batches. (Delete the records after you finish restoring one batch.)
- The USB cable may not be properly connected. Reconnect the cable to your phone and the computer, then check whether the issue is resolved.
- The Backup app is being invoked. Wait for a while and check whether the issue is resolved.
- The HiSuite or Backup app may have been cleared from the background.
- EMUI 8.X: Go to Backup and HiSuite to Manage manually, and enable all three options (Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background). , set
- EMUI 5.X: Go to Backup and HiSuite to Won't be closed. , and set
- EMUI 9.X & Magic UI 2.X: Open Phone Manager, and touch App launch. Set Backup and HiSuite to Manage manually, and enable all three options (Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background).
- Manually clear the running apps if needed, ensuring that Backup and HiSuite are running in the background during data restoration.
- Restore the data items one by one.
- For crucial apps containing large amounts of data, it is recommended that you use the app's own data backup and restoration features instead.
- Use Phone Clone instead if you are transferring data from your old phone to new phone.
If the issue still persists, provide the version number of HiSuite, your phone model, system version number, issue log, issue details, related screenshots, and contact information. We'll report this issue to our developers for further handling.
If the backup files are damaged or manually modified, send the files to us. Our engineers will try restoring the data for you. (It is recommended that you verify the data files before formatting your phone.)
