Poor projection resolution for my HUAWEI phone/tablet in Desktop mode

If your phone/tablet screen is projected to another device in Desktop mode and the screen is not clear or experiences problems like pixelation, perform the following:

Wireless projection

If you are using wireless projection and the output resolution is 1080p in Desktop mode, the screen of the external display may be too large. Try projecting your phone/tablet screen to a smaller screen.

Wired projection

If you are using wired projection, the actual output resolution may be less than 1080p. Typically, the phone/tablet screen will be projected at the lowest resolution supported by your phone/tablet, Type-C adapter, and the external display.

To achieve 1080p resolution over a wired connection, the following conditions must be met:

  • The Type-C adapter supports 1080p resolution.
  • The external display supports 1080p resolution, and the resolution is adjusted to 1080p or higher. If the resolution of the external display is too low, the projection resolution will also be too low.
  • The cable is securely connected. Otherwise, the signal quality will deteriorate, resulting in a low output resolution.
