[HUAWEI] The wearable device automatically powers off if it is not used |
Cause
It is normal for the HUAWEI wearable device to automatically power off if it is not used for more than three days. Automatic power-off is a protective feature designed to prevent the watch battery from being overdischarged, and consequently unable to recharge when it is not used for a long time. When the watch is not used for more than one, but less than six days, it will automatically power off and enter standby mode to conserve power. If it is not used for longer than 6 days, the watch will enter Shipping mode. In Shipping mode, since the watch is not being used for an extended period of time, the current is greatly reduced in order to protect the watch battery from overdischarging.
Solution
- To exit this mode, place the watch on the charging pad to charge.
- When the watch has been in Standby mode, and is sufficiently charged, it will automatically sync the time from the phone after being restarted.
- When the watch has been in Shipping mode, and is sufficiently charged, you need to manually power on the watch and sync the time from the phone after the watch is restarted.
- Due to the different battery protection mechanisms of different bands/watches, the bands/watchs will automatic shutdown when not use in one or more days. Wearable devices that do not use automatic shutdown in one day currently include: HUAWEI WATCH GT 3, HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner, HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro.
- Normal wearing and use will not automatically shut down when the battery is sufficient.
- If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
