Device registration timed out

Solution:

• Ensure that the HUAWEI AI Life app is up to date. Open the HUAWEI AI Life app, touch in the upper right corner of the app home screen, and check for updates.
• Ensure that you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password on your phone/tablet.
• Keep you phone/tablet within 1 metre away from the device and ensure that the location of the device has stable Wi-Fi coverage.
• Ensure that the Wi-Fi hotspot name does not contain special characters. It is recommended that the name contain English letters only.
• Log in to the router management page with the IP address and password indicated on the nameplate at the bottom of the router, and disable the Wi-Fi hiding, MAC address filtering, and other functions designed to prevent unauthorised access. These features may prohibit your device from accessing the router.
• Use WPA/WPA2-PSK as the authentication method. (Some devices do not support WEP or WAPI authentication methods.)
• Connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as most smart devices do not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
• On the router management page, make sure that the wireless mode is set to 11bg (to rule out possible compatibility issues caused by the router.)

Then reset the device, restart the router, and try adding the device again.
