The AV signal input of the HUAWEI Vision (SD STB) is abnormal

Solution

Perform the following steps:

  1. Connect the outdoor digital TV signal cable to the signal input port of the digital TV STB.
  2. If there is an STB smart card, insert the smart card into the card slot of the STB.
  3. Connect one end of the AV cable to the three-in-one cable converter, and connect the converter to the video input port of the HUAWEI Vision. Then connect the other end of the AV cable to the AV output port of the STB.
  4. Check whether the AV cable is inserted into the HUAWEI Vision correctly. If not, the signal source cannot be identified.
  5. Check whether the colours of the plugs and ports match. The AV cable has red, yellow, and white cables. If not connected correctly, the AV cable cannot be identified.
  6. Replace the AV cable, reconnect the STB to the HUAWEI Vision, and check whether the plug is completely inserted into the video input port and that the colour cables are correctly connected. Then check whether the signal source can be found.
  7. Switch the HUAWEI Vision input source to the AV signal source and check whether a signal can be found.
  8. From the Vision home screen, go to Settings > General > Advanced > Reset > Reset and click OK when prompted in order to reset the device to its factory settings. Then restart the Vision to see if a signal can be found.

    Restoring your Vision to its factory settings will erase data in the internal storage. Exercise caution when doing so. The following data will be erased:

    • Your account information
    • App data and system settings
    • Installed apps
    • Audio files
    • Pictures
