The printer client fails to be installed or breaks down in Windows 7

Problem

The printer client fails to be installed or breaks down after being successfully installed in Windows 7.

Cause

An error occurs during the installation of .NET Framework.

Solution

Reinstall .NET Framework and the client program. To do so, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Download the printer driver from the official website. The download path cannot be too long. You are advised to download the driver to the root directory of the D drive.

Step 2: Run dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe in x:\PixLab_Series for Windows v1_063\Application to install .NET Framework.

If the installation fails and a message is displayed indicating that a later version is available, uninstall the local version as follows:

Find the .NET Framework installation program to be uninstalled and uninstall it. After the uninstallation is complete, run dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe to install NET Framework 4.0.

Note: If version 4.0 fails to be installed, download and install version 4.6.2 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48130.

Step 3: Go to x:\PixLab_Series for Windows v1_063\HUAWEI PixLab Series\Install and double-click setup.exe to install the client.
