1 Preface

This warranty is provided by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. or the relevant local affiliate listed at the following address: consumer.huawei.com ("HUAWEI") . This warranty is voluntarily offered by HUAWEI and is separate and in addition to the legal rights of consumers under applicable local country laws governing the sale of consumer goods and to any rights of the consumer against the original retail seller of the Product and, therefore, does not affect, change or replace such rights.

1.1 Warranted Products

This warranty only applies to HUAWEI-branded Wearables (Smart watch & band) and packaged accessories that are purchased by consumers in the United Kingdom. If the product was purchased in a Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Norway, or Switzerland, the warranty of the country/region of purchase will apply. The warranty is valid and enforceable in all of the above-mentioned countries/regions, however, the warranty service may be delayed when accessed in a country/region other than the country/region of purchase.

2 Warranty Service for Wearables

HUAWEI warrants that the Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and use in accordance with the respective Product user manual, during the warranty period (as set out below):.

2.2 Proof of Warranty

To access warranty services, you'll need to verify your warranty status, which can be done by providing any one of the following materials. If the warranty information differs between materials, the information on the invoice (including paper invoice, e-invoice, and invoice copy) will prevail.

  • E-Warranty Cards are only available for HUAWEI smartphones that were originally installed with EMUI 9.0 or a later version.
  • The date displayed on the E-Warranty Card is the start date of the warranty period.

Invoice (including paper invoice, E-invoice & invoice copy)

A paper invoice, E-invoice, or invoice copy of the original retail purchase of the Product can be used to verify the warranty status, if you are unable to provide an E-Warranty card (excludes Product not sold as new).

SN

The Product’s serial number (SN) can be used to verify warranty status, if you are unable to provide any of the above materials.

The warranty period will start 90 days after the date of manufacture indicated by the SN.

Receipt

The receipt must be for the original retail purchase of the Product and clearly indicate the Product name, price and date of purchase (excludes Product not sold as new).

If necessary or relevant to clarify the matter, HUAWEI may request that proof of purchase and/or other documents or information relating to the date and place of purchase be provided. If this information is not provided, is incomplete or is intentionally obscured, HUAWEI reserves the right to refuse the warranty service.

2.3 Warranty Policy

Description

In-warranty Repair

(1)Within the warranty period, HUAWEI or an Authorised Service Center will repair or replace, at HUAWEI’s option, the Product or any relevant Parts thereof in the event of any defect in the materials and workmanship.

(2)The repaired Product or Part or, the Product or Part provided as a replacement for a defective Product or Part, shall be free from defect in materials and workmanship. Repair or replacement of a Product or Part may involve the use of a functionally equivalent reconditioned unit.

(3)The consumer shall not be charged (whether for parts, labour or otherwise) for the repair or replacement of a defective Product during the warranty period. All replaced defective Product, Parts, boards or equipment shall become the property of HUAWEI.

(4)The Warranty in respect of a repaired or replaced Product or Part shall continue for the remainder of the warranty period of the Product which was repaired or replaced or, for three (3) months from the date of repair, whichever is longer.

Out-of-warranty Repair

(5)HUAWEI does not offer chargeable repairs outside of the warranty. The respective repair centre would be your contractual service provider for any chargeable repairs and any warranty terms and conditions of the repair centre would apply.

2.4 Product Not Covered by the Warrant

This warranty does not apply if any of the following circumstances apply:

a. Product which has been reworked, disassembled, or repaired without authorization from HUAWEI.

b. Product which is subject to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidental user damage, howsoever caused, such as parts oxidation, drop-related damage, improper voltage input, excessive pressure, or main board deformation (for a power adaptor, such damage includes cracks, broken pins, severe deformation, broken power cable, and exposed wire core).

c. Normal wear and tear or other damage resulting from normal aging of the Product. This includes in particular scratches and damage to the plastic/glass surfaces and all other external, exposed parts caused by the customer's normal use, unless the damage is due to a material or workmanship defect;

d. Product subject to damage caused by the infiltration of foreign objects/materials (liquids, foods, corrosion, insects, etc.).

e. Product subject to damage resulting from improper installation, usage, maintenance, and/or storage, such as the use of third-party hardware like data cables and adaptors, installation of third-party software, improper testing, or connection with a device that is not authorized by HUAWEI or is incompatible with the Product.

f. Product used outside of use permitted under the Product’s user manual.

g. Product that differs from the Product model specified in the proof of warranty, or has an altered proof of warranty.

h. Product with a nameplate, SN, or tamper tape that has been removed, damaged, or made illegible.

i. Product subject to force majeure-related damage (fire, earthquake, flood, etc.).

j. The warranty applies to the Product as originally supplied. The warranty does not apply to any software or other equipment owned by HUAWEI or third parties however, you should check the end-user license agreement, separate warranty/ guarantee statement(s) and/or any exclusions which are applicable to such items.

3 Your responsibilities

a. Accessories such as protective cases and screen protectors must be removed before sending your Product for a repair. HUAWEI is not liable for any damage or loss of Accessories during repair or replacement.

b. Back up and delete your personal data before providing your Product for a repair and disable all security passwords. HUAWEI will not be held responsible for any data-related loss resulting from its performance of a warranty service, in the event that you have failed to back up, delete, and/or remove such data. HUAWEI will not store any of the personal data stored on your Product for any purpose.

c. Ensure that you have followed all packaging instructions and that you have securely packed the Product to avoid damage during transit. HUAWEI shall not be held liable for any damage that is caused during transit due to poor packaging.

4 Limitation of Liability

a. Except for the express warranties set forth above, HUAWEI grants no other warranties, express or implied, by statute or otherwise, regarding the Product, fitness for any purpose or otherwise. Consumer law in some countries does not permit limitations under a Product warranty and therefore certain limitations set out in this warranty document may not apply to you.

b. HUAWEI is not responsible or liable for the damage to or loss of any programs, data, SIM card or removable storage media where you do not backup your data before delivering your Product to HUAWEI or an Authorised Service Center for service under this warranty.

c. To the extent permitted by local laws, HUAWEI shall not be liable for any loss which is not a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a breach by HUAWEI of this warranty. As a consumer your use of the devices shall be non-commercial. HUAWEI shall therefore not be liable to you for any loss of profits, revenue, anticipated savings contracts or time arising out of your use of or inability to use the device.

d. In any event, HUAWEI and its supplier’s liability under this limited warranty shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the consumer for the Product or the current replacement value, whichever is greater.

e. Nothing in this warranty shall exclude or limit HUAWEI’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

5 Other Statements

a. Only Product models released in the United Kingdom are eligible for the warranty services outlined in this document.

b. HUAWEI will not be held responsible for any other commitments or offers made by a third-party agent (retailer, distributer, etc.) that it has not guaranteed.

c. This warranty may be updated by HUAWEI from time to time. The warranty terms valid at the time of purchase applies to you.
