How to upgrade your watch
System Version
The new version will optimize various aspects of the system's stability, smoothness, and compatibility to enhance the overall user experience. By updating your watch system version in a timely manner, you can enjoy more comprehensive services and features ahead of others.
1. Upgrade the watch system version
Manually check and update system version
After connecting your watch to your phone via the HUAWEI Health App, go to the device details page of the watch, tap Firmware Update > Check for Updates to check the version information, and follow the prompts to update.
The system automatically detects and prompts for updates.
On the watch details page in the HUAWEI Health App, tap Firmware Update, and
select Settings in the upper right corner.
Turn on the automatic download and update package switch under WLAN. When a
new version is
available, the watch will automatically display an update notification, and you can complete the
update process according to the on-screen instructions.
* The watch will automatically disconnect from Bluetooth during updates. Please wait patiently until the update is complete.
2. If the system upgrade was unsuccessful
If the HUAWEI Health App prompts an upgrade failure or the transfer progress gets stuck, or the watch interface freezes during the update, you can try the following solutions:
• Keep the HUAWEI Health App running.
During the update, please keep your phone screen on and ensure that the HUAWEI Health App is running. If the app is cleared by the phone's background process, it may affect the device update. You can open the app, delete the pairing record, scan the QR code again to connect to the watch, and then manually check and update the system version as described above.
• Upgrade while charging.
If you encounter any prompts related to unstable or insufficient battery power during the upgrade, it is recommended to try upgrading while the device is charging.
• Restart or reset the watch to factory settings.
If the HUAWEI Health App or the watch indicates that the update has failed, you can press and hold the up button on the watch to restart it, or go to Watch Settings > System Menu > Factory Reset to restore the watch to its factory settings, and then try updating again.
• Upgrade via another phone.
If the watch still cannot be successfully updated after restarting, it is recommended to first download the HUAWEI Health App on another phone and follow the above method to update the watch system. After the update is successful, you can then connect the watch to your original phone for use.
