- A user with an administrator account can access anything on the system. Only grant that level of access to people you trust.
- You can visit the Microsoft official website to learn more about how to change a local user account to an administrator account.
Through system settings
- Press Win+I to open the Settings window, go to (or ), and find the local account to which you want to add administrative privileges.
- Click
, and select Change account type. Under Account type, select Administrator, and click OK.
- If you want to remove the administrative privileges from other users, select Standard User under Account type, and click OK.
Using commands
- Press Win+R to display the Run window, enter netplwiz, and click OK.
- In the User Accounts window, select your account, and click Properties. In the Properties window, click the Group Membership tab, and go to . Then click OK again in the User Accounts window.
- If you want to remove the administrative privileges from other users, select Standard User on the Group Membership tab, and click OK.
