The EML is a file format developed by Microsoft for Outlook and Outlook Express. An EML file is an email message saved by an email program and contains the original HTML and tags. You can open EML files in Internet Explorer since they are formatted the same as .MHT files. Do this by changing the .eml file extension to .mht and open it directly in Internet Explorer.

1. Right-click on the EML file and select Rename.

2. Delete the .eml part of the name and replace it with .mht . Click Yes in the pop-up dialog box.

3. Double-click the file with the .mht extension and the file will be opened in Internet Explorer.
