Use HiTouch to Identify Text

When browsing text on your phone, touch and hold the screen with two fingers to bring up the text identification screen. The onscreen text will then be identified and broken into keywords, and service links to third-party apps will display based on the keywords.

For example, the system can generate links to blogs and encyclopedia entries based on a celebrity's name, generate phone numbers, ride-hailing services, and navigation links based on a hotel name, or generate links to music and video clips based on the name of a song or TV series.

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility features > HiTouch , and enable HiTouch.

  2. Touch and hold the text you wish to recognize with two fingers spread slightly apart. If pictures and text are both displayed on the screen, select Text.

The onscreen text will be identified and broken into keywords, and service links to third-party apps will display based on the keywords.

  3. Select the keywords you want, then you can copy, share, search, or navigate as you wish. Touch the links to be redirected to services provided by third-party apps.
