Connecting a HUAWEI kids watch to Wi-Fi

  • If the watch doesn't have a SIM card, it won't be connected to the Internet, and you can only set up Wi-Fi on the watch.
  • The kids watch only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspots and phone hotspots. It does not support 5 GHz or certain Wi-Fi (airport, hotel, etc.) hotspots.
  • When connecting the watch to an iPhone's personal hotspot, be sure to turn on Maximize Compatibility and switch to 2.4 GHz.
  • For remote Wi-Fi configuration, make sure the watch is within the target network coverage and manually enter the Wi-Fi name.

Configuring Wi-Fi on the watch

  1. From the watch home screen, press the HOME button, go to Settings > WLAN, and toggle on WLAN.
  2. Select a target Wi-Fi, enter the password, and tap Connect.
  3. When "Connected" appears, it indicates your watch has established a successful online connection.

Configuring Wi-Fi via the HUAWEI FamCare app

  1. Open the app, tap Devices, and go to General watch settings > WLAN.
  2. Select a target Wi-Fi, enter the password, and tap OK.

You can also tap Add network, enter the Wi-Fi name and password, and tap OK.

  • The WLAN feature can't be disabled in HUAWEI FamCare.
  • Available networks will display on Android phones. (When connecting the watch to an admin phone's personal hotspot, names of available networks will not display since Wi-Fi is disabled on the phone. Instead, you'll need to manually enter the hotspot name.)
  • Available networks will not display on iPhones. You'll need to manually enter the Wi-Fi network name.

Deleting Wi-Fi

On the watch: Go to Settings > WLAN, select the connected network, and tap Remove.

In the HUAWEI FamCare app: Navigate to the Watch WLAN screen, hold down on the connected network, and tap Delete.
