Wallpaper display is abnormal on an external display connected to my HUAWEI laptop

Problem

  • After a user connects an external display to their laptop through a docking station, and then disconnects and reconnects the docking station in Extend mode, the image on the external display is incomplete.

  • After a user connects an external display to their laptop through a docking station, and then wakes up the laptop in Extend mode, there is a possibility that the images on the primary screen and external screen are not completely displayed.

Cause

There is an error with the wallpaper drawing area, which is a known issue in Windows.

Solution

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Remove and re-insert the docking station or replace the wallpaper.
  2. Stay tuned for future updates to the operating system. We have reported this issue to Microsoft.
