HUAWEI Care + Promotion Terms & Conditions
Ongoing March 2024
1. Introduction
1.1 HUAWEI Care + (“Promotion”) is organized and managed by HUAWEI Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd (“HUAWEI”), including affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Organizers”).
1.2 This Promotion is comprised of 3(three) services:
     • Accidental Damage Protection HUAWEI Care + (2 Years) & HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year) as per clauses 2.1 and clause 2.2, the Participant has an option to select either HUAWEI Care + (2 Years) or HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year);
     • Battery Replacement; and
     • Free Lifetime Software Support.
1.3 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.
1.4 By entering the Promotion, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organizers and the Organizers decision regarding any issue will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.
1.5 This Promotion commences in March 2024 and is ongoing, (the “Promotion Period”).
1.6 The Promotion deals exclusively with purchases made at HUAWEI Authorized Service Centers, HUAWEI Experience Stores & Online stores within the Republic of South Africa.
1.7 This Promotion is only applicable to qualifying devices as per clause 1.8
1.8 Only qualifying devices as per https://consumer.huawei.com/za/support/huawei-care-plus/ will qualify for this Promotion.
1.9 You can purchase the Promotion for the qualifying HUAWEI Devices purchased from any HUAWEI Authorized Service Centers, HUAWEI Experience Stores & Online stores within the Republic of South Africa.
1.10 The Promotion can be purchased within 14(fourteen) days from the date of purchase of the qualifying device.
1.11 This Promotion enables Participants to claim for 1 (one) replacement (parts / repair) during the first year from date of purchase of qualifying device and 1 (one) replacement (parts / repair) in the second year from the date of purchase of device.
1.12 The Promotion does not cover any wearable straps.
1.13 In the case of loss of a single Freebud or charging case the Participant will qualify for a 50% discount on the replacement cost.
1.14 Upon redeeming the Promotion at an ASC-E – Accredited Service Centre, Participants will pay a service fee of R499 (four hundred ninety-nine rand) (including Vat) for labour charges. Service fee for the HUAWEI Mate X3 is R999 (nine hundred ninety-nine rand).
1.15 The Promotion will not affect the standard warranty of a device.
1.16 Participants can enjoy the Promotion by visiting any of the HUAWEI Authorized Customer Service Centers, or by contacting us on 0860 861 111. Free Courier Service within the Republic of South Africa are available for this Promotion.
2. Promotion Details
2.1 Accidental Damage Protection HUAWEI Care + (2 Years)
2.1.1 HUAWEI Care + (2 Years);
2.1.2 Accidental Damage Protection provides extra protection for replacement of the original HUAWEI components, spare parts damage caused by accidental drops, impacts, water and/or liquid drops or liquid penetration;
2.1.3 Theft and loss are excluded;
2.1.4 2 (two)years Accidental Damage Protection Promotion enables Participants to claim for 1 (one) replacement (parts / repair) during the first year from the date of purchase of qualifying device and 1 (one) replacement (parts / repair) during the second year from date of purchase of device; and
2.1.5 For Wearables, straps are excluded.
2.2 Accidental Damage Protection HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year);
2.2.1 HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year);
2.2.2 Accidental Damage Protection provides extra protection for replacement of the original HUAWEI components, spare parts damage caused by accidental drops, impacts, water and/or liquid drops or liquid penetration;
2.2.3 Theft and loss are excluded;
2.2.4 HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year), Accidental Damage Protection Promotion enables Participants to claim for 1 (one) replacement (parts / repair) during the first year from the date of purchase of qualifying device; and
2.2.5 For Wearables, straps are excluded.
2.3 Battery Replacement
2.3.1 Battery replacement is only applicable to the HUAWEI Care+ (2 Years) NOT to the HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year);
2.3.2 Battery health must be below 85%; and Replacement will be done during the second year of coverage.
2.4 Lifetime software support
2.4.1 Covers all software related issues such as App downloads, software bugs and updates, only applicable to HUAWEI devices.
3. Refunds
3.1 Refund for HUAWEI Care+ (1 Year) or HUAWEI Care + (2 Years) will only be issued if the device purchased is returned.
3.2 If the device is not returned Care+ will not be refunded
3.3 Payment - Refund for Care+ will included in the refund for the device
4. General Terms and Conditions
4.1 The Promotion commences in March 2024 and is ongoing.
4.2 The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organisers.
4.3 The Promotion, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the terms and conditions.
4.4 The Organisers reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Promotion for technical or commercial or operational reasons or for the greater public good or due to a “force majeure” event or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion, on condition that the Organisers notify the Promotion Participants in a manner that is expedient according to its best ability.
4.5 The Promotion, any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the Promotion, and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.
4.6 The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and/or terminate this Promotion immediately at any stage, whether required as a result of changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority, or within the sole discretion of the Organisers for any reason (recognized in law). Notice of such termination shall be published on the Organisers Promotions Website. In such event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organisers whatsoever.
4.7 In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.8 All Promotion Participants indemnify the Organisers, their associated and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers and employees, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from the Promotion Participants participation in any way whatsoever in this Promotion.

4.10 South African law shall govern these Promotion rules and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
4.11 HUAWEI reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior consent, Participants are required to check this webpage periodically for any updates.
