  • 1. What does HUAWEI Service Giving Season consist of?
    Answer: In this promotion we will be offering the following 6promotions:
    a. Labor Free
    For the users who visit HUAWEI Service Centers or opt for free postal service, HUAWEI Service Giving Season will waive the labor charge of out-of-warranty repair service during the campaign period. The customers are still required to pay the cost of parts replacement according to the repair quotation. Each device can participate in the Labor Free activity only once within the promotion period.
    b. Free Screen Film Protector
    During the campaign period, mobile phone and wearable end users who make an appointment or go directly to the HUAWEI Service Centers can enjoy free screen film protector, excluding the flips and fold phone.
    c. Battery Replacement
    Users can get a new original battery for only R249. Customers can enjoy Battery Replacement offers by visiting one of the HUAWEI Service Centers or by sending their devices to us using Free Postal Service. Only applicable to selected models.
    d. System Reinstallation
    Within 5 years of purchase, laptop users can enjoy System Reinstallation offers by visiting one of the HUAWEI Service Centers or by using Free Postal Service.
    e. Online Coupon
    Get a online coupon after repair during the campaign period, first come first serve. To learn more, please visit the HUAWEI Service Center (DRC, SSS Cellular, Menlyn, Cornubia and Canal Walk).
    f. HUAWEI Care+ Promotion
    During the promotion period, customer can enjoy up to 20% discount when purchasing HUAWEI Care+ on HUAWEI online store or HUAWEI Authorized Experienced Store. Only applicable to selected models.

  • 4. Where can users participate in the promotion?
    Answer: Users can participate in the promotion in three ways: reservation, visit HUAWEI Service Center and postal repair.   • 5. What are the precautions for PC System Reinstallation service?
    Answer: PC System Reinstallation is only available for installation of the factory pre-installed system. If your device was purchased with Windows 10 pre-installed, the PC System Reinstallation offer will only support reinstallation of Windows 10. User should back up to other devices in advance to avoid accidental data loss and other situations during the system reinstallation process.
  • 6. How can I participate in PC System Reinstallation service?
    Answer: The PC System Reinstallation will be available in three ways: Reservation, Walk-in to our HUAWEI Authorised Service Center (DRC, SSS Cellular, Menlyn, Cornubia and Canal Walk), and Postal Repair. Postal repair means you can send us the device without going to a store, for more information about postal repair, please visit https://consumer.huawei.com/za/support/express-repair/.
  • 7. Can all users receive a free online coupon offered during the promotion?
    Answer: All participating customer can get a free online coupon after repair. Coupon will only be available for the online store for purchases above R299. To learn more, please visit the HUAWEI Authorised Service Center (DRC, SSS Cellular, Menlyn, Cornubia and Canal Walk).
  • 8. Can the XX component of the XX product be repaired?
    Answer: To prevent the customer from arriving at the HUAWEI Authorised Service Center ( DRC, SSS Cellular, Menlyn, Cornubia and Canal Walk) without spare parts inventory for repair, the customer should contact HUAWEI Authorized Service Center in advance to check whether the corresponding spare parts are available.
    ·If the customer has called the store or found that the spare parts are not in stock:
    The hotline agent can help the customer query the spare parts inventory in a nearby store. If there is a spare part inventory, the hotline agent can guide the customer to go to the nearby store for repair.
    ·If the online agent contacts the store and confirms that there is no inventory but can order materials to meet the requirements:
    Online agents need to confirm the expected material arrival time with the store, communicate the information provided by the store to consumers, and guide consumers to repair the materials in the store.
    ·If the online agent contacts the store and confirms that there is no inventory and the supply cannot be provided:
    Mr./Ms., it is found that your nearest store and other HUAWEI official channels do not have the required maintenance materials in stock. Therefore, we cannot continue to provide you with maintenance after-sales services. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
  • 9. What's the difference between Giving Season and Service Day?
    Answer: HUAWEI Service Giving Season is an upgrade promotion launched by HUAWEI based on the original service day activity. The duration of the promotion is extended from 3 days to 45 days, and more promotions such as PC System Reinstallation and online coupon for participating customers are added. You can participate in the promotion by visiting the store or postal repair.
  • 10. Can I enjoy labor-free when participating in the Battery Replacement offer?
    Answer: The battery replacement offers free labor when purchasing a battery online or in-store.

HUAWEI Service Giving Season Promotion Terms & Conditions
15th November 2024 – 31st December 2024

1. Introduction

1.1 HUAWEI Service Giving Season (“Promotion”) is organized and managed by HUAWEI Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd (“HUAWEI”), including affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Organizers”).

1.2 This Promotion is comprised of:
   • Enjoy up to 20% off on Care+;
   • Free labor for device repair;
   • Free Screen Film Protector;
   • Online Coupon;
   • Free software installation for PC; and
   • Battery Replacement for R249.
      (“collectively referred to as “Promotion”).

1.3 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.

1.4 By entering the Promotion, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organizers and the Organizers decision regarding any issue will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.

1.5 This Promotion will run from 15th November 2024 – 31st December 2024, (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”).

1.6 The Promotion deals exclusively with HUAWEI Authorized Service Centers within the Republic of South Africa.

1.7 Only Promotion devices as set out in Service Giving Season 2024 will qualify for this Promotion.

2. Claiming the Promotion

1. Online Coupon

a) Online Coupon can only be used and claimable within the promotion period.

b) Online Coupon can only be redeemable on the online store with a minimum purchase of R299.

c) HUAWEI will not be responsible for any losses and/or damages, unauthorized use, or distribution of the online coupon.

d) Online Coupon will not be refundable for returned purchased goods.

2. Free Screen Film Protector

a) The Screen Film Protector is subject to a first come first serve basis, while stock lasts and subject to availability.

b) Promotion Participants are required to check if there are any issues such as air bubbles, dust specks and/ or wrong positioning of the Screen Film Protector before leaving the HUAWEI Authorised Service Center, failing which HUAWEI will not reapply the Customized Screen Film Protector for free.

c) Promotion Participants are only entitled to receive 1 (one) Screen Film Protector per qualifying promotion device during the promotion period.

d) The warranty for Customized Screen Film Protector is for 3 (three) months from fitment date and only covers the specific part that was replaced, provided there is no physical and/or liquid damage.

e) Normal wear and tear are not covered by the Screen Film Protector warranty.

3. Battery Replacement Starting from R249 (Two Hundred Forty-Nine Rand)

Participants must:

a) have one of the qualifying promotion devices as set out at https://consumer.huawei.com/za/support/service-giving-season-2024/.

b) take their qualifying promotion device to one of the HUAWEI Authorised Service Center located within the Republic of South Africa;

c) request a replacement of their battery for their qualifying promotion device starting from R249 (Two Hundred Forty-Nine Rand) inclusive of VAT and labour charges;

d) Normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty;

e) Promotion Participants are only entitled to receive 1 (one) battery replacement per qualifying promotion device during the promotion period; and

f) Battery replacement is subject on a first come first serve basis while stock lasts and subject to availability.

g) The warranty for Battery Replacement is for 3 (three) months from fitment date and only covers the specific part that was replaced, provided there is no physical and/or liquid damage.

4. Free software installation for HUAWEI PC

a) Free Software installation for HUAWEI PC can only be redeemed once.

b) Only applicable for HUAWEI devices purchased in South Africa.

c) Free installation of software for devices purchased within 5 years.

d) HUAWEI Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd (“HUAWEI”) will not be responsible for data loss when installing the software.

5. General Terms and Conditions

a. The Promotion is valid from 15th November 2024 – 31st December 2024.

b. The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organisers.

c. The Promotion, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the terms and conditions.

d. The Organisers reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Promotion for technical or commercial or operational reasons or for the greater public good or due to a “force majeure” event or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion, on condition that the Organisers notify the Promotion Participants in a manner that is expedient according to its best ability.

e. The Promotion, any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the Promotion, and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.

f. The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and/or terminate this Promotion immediately at any stage, whether required as a result of changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority, or within the sole discretion of the Organisers for any reason (recognized in law). Notice of such termination shall be published on the Organisers Promotions Website. In such event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organisers whatsoever.

g. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

h. All Promotion Participants indemnify the Organisers, their associated and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers and employees, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from the Promotion Participants participation in any way whatsoever in this Promotion.

j. South African law shall govern these Promotion rules and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
