The Experience Store section of the Site allows you to register for courses and activities offered by Huawei Device Co., Ltd.
1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE COURSES AND ACTIVITIES
Courses and activities offered on the Experience Store section will be provided free of charge based on the terms and conditions stated herein.
(1). You must have a valid Huawei ID to be able to register for a course or activity.
(2). You may register for a course or activity by completing the form on the Experience Store section.
(3). By registering for a course or activity on Experience Store, you hereby agree and consent to Huawei’s use of your personal data for purposes relating to you registration and participation in the course or activity in line with the applicable data protection law. You also confirm you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Privacy Policy provided herein below. Huawei’s agent and/or its third party service providers may contact you by telephone, email or such other method in connection with the course and activity you have registered for.
(4). Each Huawei ID may register for a maximum of one (1) course/activity only at any one time.
(5). Registration normally begins at least seven (7) days before the course or activity is held.
(6). Registration will not be possible if the course or activity has reached the maximum number of participants allocated.
(7). You may cancel your registration for a course or activity at any time.
Huawei reserves the rights to cancel or modify the dates and contents of courses and activities at any time without notice without incurring any liability.
2. PRIVACY POLICY
In registering for or participating in a course or activity of Experience Store, your Personal Data or Personal Data referred to you will be processed by Huawei Device Co., Ltd. in compliance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable local laws.
We are also aware of the confidentiality obligations that inspire us and understand the importance of your privacy. Please take the time to read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand how we will use your personal data.
By “you” or “User” we mean any individual who is reading this Information, as a user of our Service (as defined below).
(1). What data we collect
We provide the following Service(s) to our Users: -
a) Registration and reservation of course or activity at Experience Store; and
b) Organizing and conducting of the course or activity.
We may collect and process personal data about you, including your name, email, telephone number, gender, age, and course registration information to provide you with the Service.
When you log-in using HUAWEI ID, your username, email address, phone number and profile picture registered with that HUAWEI ID account is shared with us from our Huawei affiliated company, Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited to be processed in order to provide you with the Services.
(2). How we use your data
We process your personal data for the purposes relating to the Services, including:
Registration and validation of registration: We process your personal data to register and validate your registration of the courses or activity and to arrange for your participation of the courses or activity.
Organizing and conducting the course or activity: We process your personal data to provide you with the courses or activity you registered for.
Business analysis and improvement: We process your personal data to measure and improve our Services, including to send you user satisfaction feedback surveys or to contact you for user satisfaction feedback surveys.
Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, you may no longer be able to enjoy the Services if you refuse the collection and processing of your personal data for the above purposes.
(3). How we share your data
Sharing with service providers: We will share your personal data with our authorised third party services providers for purposes relating to the Services, including to authorised personnel conducting the courses or activity, venue owner for the course or activity, to conduct user satisfaction feedback surveys.
Sharing with Huawei’s affiliates: We will share your personal data amongst Huawei’s affiliates (including in Singapore and China) for the purposes relating to the Services, including for registration and validation of registration of courses or activity.
In the above cases, Huawei’s affilates and service providers designated by Huawei may use your personal data for the purpose of providing our Services to you on behalf of Huawei and may not use your personal data for other purposes.
Legal or regulatory disclosures: We may share your personal data to meet requirements of applicable law and regulation, in response to requests from regulators, courts or government agencies, or to establish or defend our legal rights.
Business reorganization: Your personal data may also be disclosed as part of merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service to a Huawei group or other company.
(4). How we store and retain your data
Your personal data will be transferred to, stored and processed in Singapore and China. Huawei complies with all applicable legal requirements to safeguard your personal data transferred or accessed outside your country, by entering into contractual clauses to ensure that an equivalent level of data protection applies to your personal data.
We retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary. Your personal data relating to the Services will be retained for one year. After this period, your personal data will be deleted or made anonymous, unless there is a different legal provision.
(5). Your rights and choices
To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability in relation to your personal data or if you have any complaint or query about how Huawei processes your personal data, you may contact our Data Protection Officer or submit your query here. You can also contact our Data Protection Officer located at our local offices here.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
