Problem:

The time is displayed on a certain part of the screen.

Cause:

Smart cover mode is enabled and your phone incorrectly detected that the cover was closed.

Solution:

When your phone comes into contact with magnetic objects, it may incorrectly detect that the cover is closed. You can disable Smart cover mode from:

  • On phones running a system version earlier than EMUI 9.0: Settings > Smart assistance > Smart cover
  • On phones running EMUI 9.0 or later: Settings > Accessibility > Smart cover

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your phone and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
