How to use the graphics settings feature

Graphics settings is a new feature that is available in Windows 10 version 1803 or later. With this feature, you can now choose a dedicated GPU for certain apps for an optimal performance. Once set, the GPU will be used for certain apps by default. To do this, perform the following:

  1. Right-click any blank area on the desktop and click Display settings.

  2. Click About and confirm that your computer meets the system requirements.

  3. Click Display and then Graphics settings.

  4. Select Universal app under Choose an app to set preference, select your desired game, click Add, and then click Options.

  5. Select High performance and then click Save.

Certain apps may be forced to use the on-board graphics cards. In this case, you may not be able to set a graphics card for those apps.
