Unable to use Steam

Problem

When the user opens Steam, there is a message displayed reading "%appname%cannot run from a folder path with non-ASCII characters on this version of Windows. Please re-install % appname%to the default folder, or install on Windows 7 or later."

Cause

This is because there are Chinese characters in the installation path, resulting in the program not being able to run.

Solution

Uninstall Steam, reinstall it again, then select a path that consists of English characters or change the Chinese characters in the path to pinyin.
