Set the dynamic domain name system |
Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) is a system that maps a dynamic IP address to a fixed domain name resolution service. When DDNS is enabled, the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) binds its dynamic WAN IP to a fixed domain name. Through the Internet, you can access the resources of the CPE using the fixed domain name anytime and anywhere, without the need to manually track the WAN IP.
- Connect your computer to the CPE's Wi-Fi (or to the CPE's LAN port using an Ethernet cable). Enter 192.168.8.1 in the address box of the browser, and enter the login password to access the management page of the CPE.
- Go to Advanced > Router> DDNS. Click Add DDNS, enter the Domain Name, User name, and Password provided by the carrier, and click Save.
Consult your carrier if you have any queries about the Domain Name, User name, and Password.
Thanks for your feedback.
