Enabling or disabling the built-in microphone on a HUAWEI computer
 
  • When the computer is connected to an external microphone, the system will automatically disable the built-in microphone and switch to the external microphone.

  1. Enter Control Panel in the search box on the taskbar, and open it.

  2. Click Hardware and Sound.

  3. Click Manage audio devices in Sound.

  4. In the displayed Sound settings window, touch Recording.

  5. Right-click Local microphone (or Microphone array), select Enable, and click OK.

  6. To disable the microphone, right-click Local microphone (or Microphone array) and select Disable. Then, click OK.

    When the microphone is disabled, you cannot record audio during video calls if no external microphone is connected.
