The earbuds are not in the list on my HUAWEI phone/tablet's Find Device screen

HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeClip earbuds and their charging case are equipped with speakers and can be located independently.

The Find earbuds feature shows you the location of your earbuds when they were last connected to your device and plays ringtones to help you locate the earbuds. This feature is only supported on the following models: HUAWEI FreeBuds 6i, FreeBuds Pro 2 +, FreeBuds 5, WATCH Buds, FreeBuds Pro 2, FreeBuds 5i, FreeBuds Lipstick, FreeBuds 4E, FreeBuds 4, FreeBuds Pro, and FreeBuds Studio. FreeBuds SE 3, FreeBuds SE 2 can be located by playing a ringtone, but cannot be located on a map.

If your earbuds support the Find earbuds feature, but the device name does not appear in the Find Device list, troubleshoot as follows:

  1. Check the system version: Make sure that your device's system version is EMUI 11.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
  2. Enable Find Device: Go to Settings, log in to your HUAWEI ID, and enable Find Device.
  3. Check that the earbuds display in the app: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find your earbuds, touch in the upper right corner, and touch Rename to rename your earbuds. Return to the previous screen, and go to Find > Locate on map. Log in to Find Device with your HUAWEI ID, and check the renamed earbuds in the app.
  4. Restore the earbuds to their factory settings and pair them again: Place the earbuds in the charging case and keep the lid open. After restoring the earbuds to their factory settings, pair them once again with your phone.
    Figure 1.

If you're using WATCH Buds earbuds, go to Settings > Manage earbuds > More settings > Reset earbuds on the watch to restore the earbuds (but not the watch) to their factory settings, and pair the earbuds with your device once again.

If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
