If you are unable to receive system update notifications on your HUAWEI phone/tablet, perform the following to troubleshoot:
1. Network connection issues may be preventing you from receiving update notifications
- When your device is using mobile data: Go to Optimizer > Data usage, disable Smart Data Saver, then touch Network access, and enable Mobile data in Software update.
- When your device is using Wi-Fi: Open Settings, search for and access System update (or Software update), and touch Check for updates to check whether a new version is available. If no new version is available, the system update may not have been pushed to your device. Please check regularly for system updates, and update your device at your earliest convenience.

2. If you have not updated your phone/tablet recently, you may not receive update notifications
If you have not updated your device for a while, there will be several system versions available, so the system will no longer provide an update link and you will no longer receive system update notifications. If not, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
3. There may be a cache data error
- Open Settings, search for and access Apps, touch System update (or Software update), and go to .
