Celia Keyboard introduction

HUAWEI Celia Keyboard provides users with a rich selection of features, including voice typing, Gesture typing, Mechanical keyboard, and supports over 170 languages. With Celia Keyboard, you can type faster and more intuitively.

How to access Celia Keyboard

Method 1: For devices running EMUI 12, Celia Keyboard comes preinstalled.

Method 2: For devices running EMUI 11 or earlier, please open AppGallery, search for Celia Keyboard, and then download and install it.

How to set Celia Keyboard as your default Keyboard

Go to Settings > System & updates > Language & input > Default keyboard and select Celia Keyboard.

Get started with Celia Keyboard

Typing

Celia Keyboard provides several keyboard layouts for individual languages. Besides tapping a key to enter a letter, you can also tap and hold keys to enter punctuation marks. When typing words letter by letter, you will find word suggestions displayed on the suggestion strip above the keyboard. Simply tap a suggested word to enter it.

l  How to switch between languages:

-       Method 1: Tap somewhere you can enter text, tap and hold  to choose your input language or choose More languages… to add a new language.

-       Method 2: Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap  to switch between the input languages you have added.

l  How to change keyboard layout: Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap the  icon. Tap Layout and choose a suitable keyboard layout.

Gesture typing

Celia Keyboard provides Gesture typing, which allows you to enter words by sliding your finger over keys, for 142 languages.

How to enable Gesture typing: Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap the  icon. Go to Settings > Input and toggle on Gesture typing.

Voice typing

Celia Keyboard currently supports voice typing in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Polish, and Malay.

l  How to use voice typing: Tap somewhere you can enter text, tap and hold the period key to activate voice typing. Then say what you want to enter and Celia Keyboard will convert your speech into text.

l  How to change voice typing language: Tap somewhere you can enter text, tap and hold the period key  to activate voice typing, and then tap  to choose a language for voice typing.

Emoji input

Tap somewhere you can enter text, tap and hold the comma key  to open the emoji menu. Here you’ll find hundreds of fun and interesting emojis to choose from. You can also tap the  icon to choose from an equally large selection of text-based emoticons.

How to personalize your Celia Keyboard

Theme

Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap the  icon. Tap Theme and select a keyboard theme.

Font

Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap the  icon. Go to Settings > Font and select a keyboard font.

Sound & vibration

Tap somewhere you can enter text, tap the  icon, and select Sound & vibration. From here you can adjust Vibration intensity and Keypress volume, and tap Sound on keypress to select the keypress sound.

Mechanical keyboard

Tap somewhere you can enter text and tap the  icon. Tap Mechanical keyboard and toggle on Mechanical keyboard. You can set SWITCH TYPE according to your preferences.

The feature is only available on certain series that are equipped with linear motors, such as the HUAWEI Mate 40, Mate 50, P40, P50, and so on.
