Introduction and Usage of the Petal Maps Watch Version

The Petal Maps watch version provides you with both independent and collaborative navigation capabilities.

With independent navigation, you can enjoy intelligent and interactive navigation when walking and cycling without using a phone.

With collaborative navigation, the navigation information can be synced to your watch once you initiate navigation in Petal Maps on your phone.

Download and update

Connect your phone to your watch. On your phone, go to Huawei Health > Devices > AppGallery, find Petal Maps and download or update it.

If you are using a smart watch, search for Petal Maps from AppGallery for download and update. Alternatively, go to Me > Check for updates, and update the app in AppGallery that automatically opens.

Independent navigation

Independent navigation is supported on the HUAWEI WATCH 4 and HUAWEI WATCH 4 Pro.

Highlight experience

Vibrating reminders help you make the right turn. Your watch will vibrate on your wrist and make a voice broadcast to notify you of key navigation prompts, such as when to turn, for greater convenience and safety.

Clear base map enriches your visual experience. You can rotate the watch crown to zoom in or out on the map and view detailed destination information, bringing a more comprehensive navigation experience.

Data details put your workout experience on full display. When you use navigation during a walk or cycle, your step count, distance, pace, time, and carbon emissions are displayed on the data details screen, making going green feel even easier.

Destination search lets you quickly find where you want to go. You can search for destinations by entering text, browsing on the base map, selecting categorized information, and viewing historical records on your watch.

How to navigate

  1. Touch the Search icon on the home screen to add a destination (the default start point is your current location).
  2. After selecting a destination, go to its details screen, touch the walking or cycling icon, and select a route from the displayed route planning screen to enter the overview screen.
  3. Touch Start to access the navigation screen.
