Linking a HUAWEI kids watch with a main admin

Before linking

• Download the latest version of HUAWEI FamCare on your phone. If you already have the app, update it to its latest version.
• Parent/Legal guardian: Open HUAWEI FamCare and log in to your HUAWEI ID. If you're using a HUAWEI phone logged in to your HUAWEI ID, you'll be automatically logged in to HUAWEI FamCare with the same account.
• Make sure that the call, SMS, mobile data, and caller ID display services have been enabled for the watch's SIM card.
• Avoid inserting a parent/legal guardian's SIM card into the watch.

How to link

1. Insert a SIM card into the watch and power it on. If this is the first use, select your preferred language and region, and you'll be redirected to a permissions notice. Agree to the permissions and select a linking type. Once the watch connects to the network, you'll see a QR code display on the watch screen.
    

   • When choosing a region on the watch, make sure the selected region matches the parent account's region.
   • If you choose to link via Wi-Fi and no SIM card is inserted, SIM card-dependent features (such as phone calls and MeeTime calls) will be unavailable. Insert a SIM card to enable these features.
2. Open HUAWEI FamCare and go to Link watch > Scan code.

   Alternatively, tap Devices and then in the upper right corner, select Scan code, and scan the QR code on the watch.

3. Tap Create child account and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the registration. The child account will then be automatically logged in.
   

   If the watch's SIM card has been used to register a HUAWEI child account, use either of the following methods:

   • In the list of child accounts linked to your HUAWEI ID, select the account associated with the current watch's SIM card.
   • Tap Switch accounts, then log in. HUAWEI FamCare will automatically display all associated HUAWEI child accounts and linked watches. Select the target account for login.
4. After a successful login, the linking will start between the watch and the parent/legal guardian's phone. This takes about 30 seconds, depending on the devices' network conditions.
5. After a successful linking, follow the onscreen instructions to fill in watch user info and admin info.
    

   • A watch can only link to one main admin at a time via HUAWEI FamCare. Remember the main admin's HUAWEI ID used for linking and always use it for app login. To change the main admin, unlink the kids watch from the current admin via HUAWEI FamCare, and then use a new admin account for re-linking.
