How to pair HUAWEI FreeArc with a device

To pair the earbuds with a Bluetooth device, such as a phone, tablet, PC, watch, or head unit, perform the following steps. If the connection to both earbuds fails, refer to Unable to connect to or find the Bluetooth name of the HUAWEI earbuds. If the connection to a single earbud fails, refer to Connect a single HUAWEI earbud to a phone/tablet. If no sound can be heard from a single earbud after the connection is successful, refer to No sound from a single earbud of my HUAWEI earbuds.

Connecting the earbuds to a phone/tablet

The following steps are also applicable to phones/tablets of Apple, vivo, Xiaomi, and other brands.

  1. Place the earbuds in the charging case, keep the lid open, and then press and hold the Function button for at least 2 seconds until the indicator light flashes white, to put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
  2. On your phone/tablet, go to Settings > Bluetooth and touch the name of the earbuds in the device list to pair with the earbuds.

Connecting the earbuds to a PC

Connecting to a Windows PC

  1. Place the earbuds in the charging case, keep the lid open, and then press and hold the Function button for at least 2 seconds until the indicator light flashes white, to put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
  2. In the lower left corner of the desktop, click the Start menu and then the Settings icon.
  3. Go to Devices > Add Bluetooth or other device. In the Add a device window, select Bluetooth. The PC will automatically search for Bluetooth devices nearby.
  4. Find and click the name of the earbuds on your PC. Wait until a message is displayed indicating that your device is ready.
Connecting to a macOS PC
  1. Place the earbuds in the charging case, keep the lid open, and then press and hold the Function button for at least 2 seconds until the indicator light flashes white, to put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
  2. Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select System Preferences. On the displayed settings window, select Bluetooth. The PC will automatically search for Bluetooth devices. After the earbuds are detected, select them, and click Connect.

Connecting the earbuds to a head unit, watch, or other Bluetooth devices

  1. Place the earbuds in the charging case, keep the lid open, and then press and hold the Function button for at least 2 seconds until the indicator light flashes white, to put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
  2. Find the Bluetooth settings of the head unit, watch, or other devices, scan for Bluetooth devices, and select the name of the earbuds. For details about the Bluetooth settings of the head unit, watch, or any other devices, consult the device provider.
