Why does Beauty mode yield no beauty effects?

Cause:

• If you are too close to the camera, your face may fail to be recognised and therefore no beauty effects can be applied.
• If you are taking a selfie in backlighting or in the dark, the camera may fail to distinguish your face due to the low colour contrast. In this case, beauty effects can't be applied.
• If the beauty level is set too low, beauty effects may be too subtle to be recognised.

Solution:

• Stay an appropriate distance away from the camera.
• Take selfies in good lighting conditions and avoid backlighting.
• Raise the beauty level.
